AAAAAAAHHH!
Don't you just hate it when your favourite band, like ever, doesn't come to your town?
Well that's what happened to me, except it wasn't my town, it was my country!
I've loved the Jonas Brothers for a good two, nearly three years now, before they became famous over in the UK. I was SO excited when they announced they were doing a world tour, like jumping about and that.
I waited for the UK dates...Finally, they were announced...
ENGLAND - Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, London x2
IRELAND - Dublin
SCOTLAND - None.
I was so gutted. Why weren't they coming here? They'd been here once before with Avril Lavigne. After I'd calmed down a bit, I launched my campaign;GET THE JONAS BROTHERS TO SCOTLAND!
This involved an online petition, hosted by petitionspot.com
I managed to get a few signatures on the petition, from family, friends etc.But I knew that it wasn't anywhere near enough. So, I contacted radio stations, TV shows, magazines, you name it, I wrote a letter to them!I had to use so much of my own money but it didn't bother me if it made a difference.
I waited and waited until one night I got a phone call from Clyde 1.They wanted to take my petition on board and talk about it on air and everything.I was thrilled and they did so for many weeks, contacting the Jonas Brothers management and such like, but getting no replies. I, myself, had already written to Hollywood Records (their record label) SIX TIMES and received no reply! They spoke about my petition for a good few weeks which helped me to get 1000 signatures on my petition. Eventually, the signatures slowed down until Mizz magazine also printed an article about it.This took the signatures up to 1250.
Now, I need your help. I've managed to get just over 1300 by wearing my JO BROS TO SCOTLAND t-shirt, bebo page, myspace, twitter and the petition. But I know if I really want to see them, I need lots more. You don't have to completely love the Jonas Brothers like I do, you just need to sign the petition. It would mean so much to me, it's completely free and all you need is an email address! If you don't want to put your real name then you can use a nickname, all that matters is that you sign it.One signature could make all the difference. Please, please help me out.The petition link is: www.petitionspot.com/petitions/jonastoscotlandBebo group: www.bebo.com/getjbtoscotlandmyspace: www.myspace.com/jonastoscotlandtwitter: www.twitter.com/getjbtoscotlandemail: jonasscotland@hotmail.co.ukI'd really appreciate it if you helped me out and i'd love to hear from you if you signed, want to help or need more information!
You can email me, twitter me etc., it's up to you!
Thank you in advance.
Love Alice x
